This person has written a few guidelines about correct umbrella use. He or she is clearly very angry with the umbrella users of Vancouver (is Vancouver going to become my new favourite place?) and vents rather emphatically on the subject:

IF YOU HAVE AN UMBRELLA AND YOU’RE UNDER AN AWNING AND WON’T FOLD IT OR GET OUT OF THE WAY YOU DESERVE TO HAVE YOUR NUTS CRUSHED AND YOUR ARMS RIPPED OFF!!

Umbrella etiquette is a touchy subject. I know many people who have responded to my business idea and this blog with something approaching “just tell people to stop stabbing me in the bloody eye with them”. Be nice with your brollies, people. I’d hate to see anything happen to your nuts.
